PURPOSE:To obtain a polyamide with randomly arranged structure, outstanding in impact resistance, mechanical properties, heat and water resistances, moldability, sliding capability, etc. giving specified MFR, by reaction between respective specific components such as terephthaloyl alkylenediamine in specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:A reaction is carried out through e.g., solution polycondensation process, between (A) 60-90 (pref. 65-80)mol% of terephthaloyl alkylenediamine component unit of formula I (X1 is 6-20) (B) 0-35 (pref. 0-25)mol% of isophthaloyl alkylenediamine component unit of formula II (X2 is 6-20), and (C) 5-40 (pref. 8-25)mol% of (i) aliphatic polyamide component unit with the number ratio of the methylene group in the main chain to the amide bond being 6-20 of formula III (X3 and X4 are each 4-20) or (ii) aliphatic polyamide component unit with the number ratio of the methylene group in the main chain to the amide bond being 4-20 of formula IV (X5 is 4-20) to obtain the objective polyamide with a MFR>=0.1g/10min. (pref. 1-3,000g/10min.) determined under a load 10kg at 360 deg.C. A polyamide composition for molding compound can be obtained from said polyamide and filler such as silica.
