PURPOSE:To surely seal the titled filter press with a simple structure by provid ing an insertion hole through the lower projecting part of the lower edge of the picture frame-shaped protruded part of a common filter plate, and inserting an annular member having a raw liq. introducing branched passage opened to the filter surface side and constituting the peripheral edge part of a raw liq. inlet into the insertion hole. CONSTITUTION:The raw liq. introducing branched passage 12, consisting of a vertical recessed groove 12a internally communicating with a raw liq. inlet 11 and an inclined through-hole 12b opened to the filter surface 9 side, is pro vided to each of a couple of the front and rear annular members 10 and 10. the branched passage 12 having a Y-shaped vertical section is thus formed by the integrated annular members 10 and 10. The front and rear surfaces of a common filter plate 2 are covered with filter cloths 27 and 27, and the end part 27a of the filter cloth 27 is inserted at the part of the insertion hole 6. Moreover, the filter cloth parts 27a and 27a are clamped on the inclined surfaces 8 and 8 of the insertion hole 6 by pressing projecting parts 28 and 28 which are provided integrally with rubber coating materials 14 and 14 on the upper edges of the annular members 10 and 10.
