1. A ski-binding/ski-boot combination for a cross-country or touring ski (6), comprising a partially hollow retaining socket (1) pivotably mounted about a horizontal axis (4) and spring-biased in the upwards pivoting direction, a sole extension (12) of a boot (14) inserted into said retaining socket (1) being engaged thereby from below, supported in the lateral direction, and engaged thereby from above at least over certain areas, so that said boot (14) is operable to pivot said retaining socket (1) to its locked position in which at least one locking pin (2) secured to the ski extends through at least one opening (15) in said sole extension (12) and an opening (18) in said retaining socket (1), and said retaining socket (1) is locked by a releasable detent (10), characterized in that the horizontal transverse axis (4) of said retaining socket (1) for said sole extension (12) provided with a flexible portion (13) extends adjacent the front of said retaining socket (1) facing towards the tip of the ski, and that in the step-in position for the insertion of the boot (14) said retaining socket (1) extends from said transverse axis (4) in the direction towards the end of the ski and away from the top surface (6a) of the ski so as to enclose an acute angle (alpha) therewith. |
