PURPOSE:To bring a head into proper contact over the entire recording and playback areas on a disk by providing the disk with a stabilizing member and a movement path guide means. CONSTITUTION:An upper stabilizing plate 11 is a quadrilateral member having a recessed part 11a in the reverse surface and fixed to a device fixing part 1a so that it is put close to the surface of a magnetic disk. Then the stabilizing plate is so set previously as to have a tilt angle theta to a plane 14 crossing the axis 13 of rotation of the magnetic disk 12, and has a gentle upward slope along a direction in which it leaves the center of the rotating shaft of the magnetic disk 12. A lower stabilizing plate 15 is provided with a window hole 15a and the magnetic head 16 projects from this window hole 15a and contacts the magnetic disk 12. This lower stabilizing plate 15 is a joint part 15b formed in one body in parallel to the upper stabilizing plate 11 across the magnetic disk 12 and fixed to a head carriage 17. The head carriage 17 is guided by a guide member 21 to move up to the right.
