<p>PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently obtain a storage battery having desired voltage by previously manufacturing a large bipolar storage battery having a large number of cells, then cutting off a container according to desired voltage. CONSTITUTION:Lead alloy grid frames 4, 4' are melt-bonded on both sides of a plastic plate 2. A cathode active material is filled in one frame 4 and an anode active material is filled in other frame 4' to obtain a bipolar electrode 1. The electrodes 1, 1', 1'' and separators 8, 8', 8'' are alternately set in a container 5, having optional length, in which a large number of recessed groves 6, 6', 6'' are installed on the inner sides and in the bottom and container cutting indication lines 7, 7', 7'' are installed on the outer side at specified intervals. An electrolyte is poured in the container 5 to such a degree that it penetrates into the electrodes and separators, and a cover is melt-bonded to seal a battery. The container is cut off along the indication line corresponding to desired voltage.</p> |
