PURPOSE:To obtain an access device which can be easily handled by users with no processing waste by using a protection bit added to an attribute name to check the opening properties to the public of attribute information and requesting a password according to said check result. CONSTITUTION:When a data access command is inputted, a control part 4 checks an attribute list 2 containing attribute names added with protection bits and the attribute values corresponding to these attribute names in relation to desired attribute information on the data 1 designated within a data base 3. Then opening or non-opening to the public is decided by the protection bit for the attribute information. A password is requested to a user only with the non-open-to-the public information. While command processing is carried out as it is for the open-to-the public information. Then the password when inputted is compared with the passwords stored in a password list 6. If it is decided that the input password is valid, the command processing is carried out for this password. |
