PURPOSE:To utilize the titled method and device even in general home by storing a microcomputer system with plural words and phrases which constitute a message along with added call codes, and transmitting call codes to a connected telephone set according to the combination of dial numbers of telephone sets. CONSTITUTION:Many words and phrases forming the message are stored in the microcomputer system along with added call codes and call codes are transmitted to a telephone set connected to a display device according to the combination of dial numbers of telephone sets, so that the message to be transmitted is constituted and displayed. Consequently, the message indicating absence is displayed to an outdoor visitors through telephone and the message is changed through the push-button telephone operation of an inside or outside telephone set (e.g. pay public telephone).
