PURPOSE:To set up widely the band width of a filter by forming the odd number of resonator holes and alternately forming opening surfaces and short-circuiting surfaces on respective resonator holes on both the sides penetrating these holes. CONSTITUTION:The dielectric filter is obtained by forming three resonator holes 12a-12c with intervals in the longitudinal direction of a rectangular parallelepiped-like dielectric block 10 consisting of a sintered body of a ceramic material with a high dielectric constant such as barium titanate, forming coupler holes 14a, 14b among the resonator holes 12a-12c and then forming metalized layers 16 on all the sides, the bottom surface a part of the upper surface of the upper surface of the block 10. The bottom surfaces and the upper surfaces of the 1st and 3rd resonator holes 12a, 12c positioned on both the sides form short-circuiting surfaces and opening surfaces respectively, but the bottom surface and the upper surface of the 2nd resonator hole 2 positioned on the center form an opening surface and a short-circuiting surface respectively. Consequently, the band width of the filter can be expanded.
