PURPOSE:To correct a deviation at the correction of right and left pincushion distortion and to remove almost completely the right and left pincushion distortion by providing a delay circuit, an oscillating circuit for generating a saw- tooth wave voltage synchronized with a delayed vertically synchronizing pulse and an output circuit for inputting the saw-tooth wave voltage and forming a deflecting current to a horizontal deflecting coil. CONSTITUTION:The pincushion distortion correcting circuit 5 integrates the saw-tooth wave voltages obtained by the oscillating circuit 2 to form a parabolic waveform with a vertical period and supplies the parabolic waveform to a power supply circuit. A delay circuit 1 can be constituted of an one-shot multivibrator or a flip flop. A vertically synchronizing signal (a) is delayed by a prescribed period, the deviation of phases between the signal (a) and a video signal (c) is removed and the peak position of a parabolic pincushion distortion correcting curve (d) is made to coincide with the center of a display surface, so that the pincushion right and left distortion can be almost completely corrected. |
