A sleeve formed of shrinkable material has a longitudinal closure formed of projections and corresponding cut-outs along two longitudinal edges of the closure. The projections of the two longitudinal edges are offset relative to one another and have at least a partially clearly defined reinforcement in relation to the encasing component. When the projections have been fitted together, a retaining element is applied at least periodically to the reinforcements which have been fitted together in series. |
