PURPOSE:To immediately start a variety of image-processings and to speed up said processings by restoring a camera scan timing to a scan origin from an arbitrary position due to the detection of a target to be recognized. CONSTITUTION:When a signal from a detector 3 is inputted with a camera 2 positioned at any scan position, a scan origin restoring circuit 6, receiving said signal, stops the outputs of horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals, and instead outputs a synchronizing signal restoring a scan point to a scan origin to the camera 2. After the time required for restoring the scan point to the scan origin expires, the output signal to the camera 2 is again switched to a synchronizing signal from a horizontal and vertical timing generator circuit 5, and the subsequent scan is started, thereby starting a variety of image processings at the scan origin.
