摘要

PURPOSE:To easily execute color separation by prescanning a color image to find out density information between colors of the original and obtain the number of times of scanning of the original and multivalued through information. CONSTITUTION:The color original is prescanned to find out density information between the colors of the original and obtain the number of times of scanning of the original and the multivalued threshold information. A deciding circuit 111 receives the outputs of counters 105-107 for respective colors and determines the number of times of main scanning and the multivalued threshold based on the information of respective colors and a density histogram. In case of a normal color original constituted of an image and a background picture, the density K1 of a point to be the trough of a curve is adopted as the multivalued threshold. In case of a color original whose image can not be clearly distinguished from the background picture, an integrated value from the maximum density point Kmax of frequency to 0.9Mmax is adopted as the threshold.
