The invention provides that an inhaler comprising a vessel which receives a heated, vapour-releasing medicinal liquid and can be closed with a lid-like upper part and from which vapours accumulating in a collecting chamber above the medicinal liquid can be inhaled via a vapour outlet opening in the upper part, has at least one opening for blowing air into the collecting chamber. A nozzle directed toward the surface of the medicinal liquid in the vessel is located in the opening for blowing in. The vapour outlet opening is provided with a mouthpiece having a wall with holes through which air can pass.
