PURPOSE:To automatically draw a straight line by providing a direction designating means, a start point designating means and a mouth for inputting data to a straight line forming means. CONSTITUTION:A mouth cursor is removed, an automatic line drawing mode on a picture of a CRT 8 is selected and the mouth 6 is moved, and then, mouth moving data 63 is inputted to a start point arithmetic part 21 and the position of the mouth cursor is calculated. Subsequently, when a left button of the mouth 6 is pressed a left button input 61 is inputted to the start point arithmetic part 21 through a CPU5, the position of the mouth cursor at that time is set to a start point data memory 22 as the start point of the straight lien and at the same time, the left button input 61 is inputted to an automatic line drawing part 3. Thereby, the automatic line drawing part 3 fetches the contents of the start point data memory 22 and a direction data memory 12 through the CPU5, forms straight line data from the start point decided by start point data towards the direction decided by direction data and writes in a picture data storage part 7.
