PURPOSE:To facilitate control absence serve on an absence service center side by displaying set absence service information visually on a display device connected to an exchange. CONSTITUTION:A readout key provided to an absence service center is pressed and then the set contents of absence service are displayed or printed on a multifunctional telephone set 5-i or printer 11 as the absence service center. Items printed on the printer 11 are a print date, a set date, a set opposite-party extension number, and message contents. The message contents are set in a storage device 9 from a terminal 10 for maintenance and a central controller 8 previously. When the absence service is set by using them, dialing is performed until 0-#, so that the service contents are set.
