PURPOSE:To erase the marking of an original which is already read after an operator confirms that the original is read securely by a reader by providing a marking means which uses ink with erasable property for the marking of the original. CONSTITUTION:One original is read and then stopped temporarily to stamp the read original with a read end seal 16 by a solenoid 16, and the original is discharged onto a paper discharge tray 20. In this case, erasable ink is used for the read end seal 14. When the read end mark on the original discharged onto the paper discharge tray 20 is erased, erasing liquid is applied on the mark of the read end seal to erase the seal.
