PURPOSE:To make the total length of a lead shaft shorter so as to miniaturize the lead shaft, by installing a feeding section of a regular pitch to the lead screw and a motor starting and motor stopping sections, whose pitches are smaller than the pitch of the feeding section, to both sides continuously to the feeding section beyond the recording area of a card. CONSTITUTION:A lead screw 11 is provided with a regular-pitch feeding section 11a corresponding to the recording area of a card 3 and a motor starting section 11b and motor stopping section 11c, whose pitches are smaller than the pitch of the feeding section, on both sides continuously to the feeding section 11a beyond the recording area. A supporting panel 4 is provided on the back of a lead shaft 1 and photoelectrical sensors 41 and 42 are provided at both end sections of the panel 4 in corresponding with both sides of the magnetic card 3. On the other hand, the sliding extent of a magnetic head 2 is set by providing a light shielding plate 23 which actuates both sensors 41 and 42 to a slider 22.
