PURPOSE:To register an index word from an inputted correct reading by instructing and registering indexes at the time when a generated sentence is converted. CONSTITUTION:An index registration and instruction means 13 instructs and registers a word including KANA (Japanese syllabary) and KANJI (Chinese character) as an index word at the time when KANA or a word obtained by converting Roman characters, both of which are inputted by a conversion word input means 11, is converted into a KANA and KANJI mixing word by a conversion instruction means 12 and a conversion means 2. According to registration and instructions, index word registration means 2, 3, 4 and 5 register the KANJI and KANA mixing word as index word data and its reading as the input of a converted word corresponding to a converted word input means. Thus the index word can be always registered by the correct reading at the time of input.
