PURPOSE:To improve Q value indicating the performance of a coil by providing a pair of conductive loops and a plurality of conductors, electrically connecting the conductors along the peripheral edges of the respective loops, and radially disposing them with respect to a longitudinal axis so that the opposing area to a patient placed on the center of the coil becomes minimum, thereby causing an electric field coupling to hardly occur. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of conductors 31 are contacted along a common longitudinal axis 32 with the sides of a pair of parallel conductor rings 33a, 33b space from each other. The conductors 31 are so formed as to have at least one reactance element in series. Gaps to form capacitors are formed at suitable positions. A drive source such as an RF amplifier is connected with one of the capacitors to drive the coil. The conductors 31 are respectively composed in a beltlike shape, and disposed radially with respect to the common axis 32. That is, conductor flat plates are provided inside the coil and vertically erected with respect to the surface 40 of a cylindrical bobbin of this coil bobbin.
