PURPOSE:To form an economical moisture controller maintaining moisture in an appropriate range in the vegetable chamber of a refrigerator by controlling an air flow directly entering a duct through the use of a moisture sensitive element. CONSTITUTION:If moisture in a vegetable box B1 drops, the moisture sensitive element 2 of a moisture controller A dries and shrinks, and a baffle body 9 closes the opening of a bypass C2. Therefore the direct inflow of dried cool air into the vegetable box B1 is interrupted, and only the outside is cooled. Such an action is not like turning ON/OFF control, but ensures an opening corresponding to the moisture. Accordingly a proportional operation slowly controls the moisture in the box so as not to cause a sudden change in the moisture. In this case, if the moisture excessively drops, the baffle body 9 is pressed against the opening of the duct C2. If the moisture sensitive element 9 shrinks further, an adjusting spring 5 is pulled, and therefore the application of excessive tensile strength to the moisture sensitive element 2 can be prevented. |
