PURPOSE:To prevent the transformation and breakage caused by the differential pressure of an insulation spacer by a method wherein a spacer mounting box and the tank of the main body are connected with a connecting pipe having a sluice valve, and the pressure on both sides of the insulating spacer is almost equalized by opening the sluice valve when a vacuum oiling is performed or when it is transported. CONSTITUTION:A blind cover 18 is attached to a spacer-mounting box 3 and a sluice valve 10 is opened when a cable splicing box 7 is separated from a spacer mounting box 6 and oil is filled in the main body tank 1 under vacuum state, or when the transformer is transported in the state wherein gas is sealed in the main body tank 1 under the prescribed pressure in the same condition as above. As the inside of the main body tank 1 and the spacer mounting box 6, namely, both sides of an insulating spacer 4 are brought in the same pressure through the above-mentioned procedures, no excessive force due to differential pressure is added to the insulating spacer 4, and the possibility of generation of transformation, breakage and the like can be removed.
