PURPOSE:To generate a prescribed sampling pulse in a forecasting period by forecasting the succeeding pulse interval synchronously with the completion of counting on the basis of a primary forecasting method to generate the sampling pulse. CONSTITUTION:The sampling circuit is provided with the 1st counter 8 for counting up the 1st pulse interval at a reference time, the 2nd counter 9 for counting down the count value of the 1st counter 8 at 1/2 the reference time from then time of the 2nd pulse interval, and when the count value reaches '0', counting up the count value at the reference time, a means 10 for doubling the count value of the 2nd counter 9, and the 3rd counter 11 for setting up twice the count value of the 2nd counter 9 as a forecasting value of the 3rd pulse interval, counting up the forecasting value at a prescribed time and generating a sampling pulse. When the pulse interval Tn-2 is counted up at a reference pulse tx, the count value is counted down from the time t1 of the pulse interval (Tn-1) at 1/2 the reference pulse tx and the residual of the pulse interval (Tn-1) is counted up from the time t2 when the count value reaches '0' at the reference pulse tx, (Tn-1)-1/2X(Tn-2) is obtained and then the forecasting value Tn is obtained by doubling said calculated value.
