<p>A wheel mounting assembly for a road trailer comprising at least one pair of wheels (l3) carried on at least one axle (l4) so as to be located in transversely opposed wheel arches (l6), the/or each axle (l4) being supported by a spring means (28) at each wheel arch (l6). There are provided at least two transverse beams (25, 27), a first (25) located at the front of the assembly, a second (27) located at the rear of the assembly. Respective spring means are connected between the first (25) and second (27) beams the first (25) and second (27) beams being attached directly to the wheel arches (l6) so as to transmit the load which is carried from spring means (28) to the wheel arches (l6). </p> |
