PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic extremely useful for the prevention of dandruff, having excellent safety and capable of forming a transparent cosmetic because of its high solubility, by compounding a specific compound selected from anthocyanine-type and anthocyanidine-type pigments. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair cosmetic having excellent dandruff-preventive effect, safety to skin and solubility can be produced by compounding 0.05-5 wt%, preferably 0.1-3 wt% one or more compounds selected from the compounds of formula (R1 and R2 are H, OH or OCH3; R3 and R4 are H or beta-glycocide) as a dandruff-preventive agent in a hair cosmetic such as hair tonic, hair liquid, milky lotion for scalp, hair cream, hair shampoo, hair rinse, hair spray, etc. The above compound is widely distributed in the petals, fruits, leaves, stalks, etc., of vegetables and can be obtained from natural source or by tissue culture technique. |
