The desired shaped article is formed from pure aluminium and subjected to anodic oxidation until the pure aluminium has been largely converted to aluminium oxide. The moulding consisting of aluminium oxide is then fired at temperatures above 600 DEG C until the aluminium oxide has been transformed into a crystalline modification. For example, membranes for loudspeakers can be produced by this method. |
