PURPOSE:To set easily and accurately the optimum opening degree of an indoor blow-off port by comparing a calculated air flow quantity of an indoor blow-off port with a target air flow quantity, and varying to set the opening degree of the indoor blow-off port until it reaches a desired air flow quantity. CONSTITUTION:A blow-off port 22 within the ceiling is directed in such a manner that conditioned air is blown toward an upward direction rectangularly intersecting a ceiling plane 12, that is, toward an upper slab 13, and repulsed air is caused to flow uniformly along the ceiling plane 12 in a substantially omnidirectional manner. Next, a model of a ventilation circuit network is set using as junctions a blower 6 and indoor blow-off ports 1, 2, 3 and 4. Air flow ducts connecting respective junctions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 to each other are assumed. These air flow ducts aare passages for air assumed to pass under the beam indoor blow-off ports and the like. If a specific resistance is set, the air flow quantity is obtained. On the basis of the thus obtained air flow quantity, the opening degree of the indoor blow-off ports 1, 2, 3 and 4 is set by a computer. The air flow quantity calculated under a condition that no convection occurs, is compared with a target air flow quantity, and the opening degree of the indoor blow-off port is varied to set until the air flow quantity reaches a desired value, whereby the optimum opening degree of the indoor blow-off port can be obtained easily and accurately.
