Disclosed is a semi-permeable membrane for carrying out crossflow membrane separation and modules and devices including same. The membrane includes a carrier element having a wavelike structure and orifices for the passage of substances therethrough, a membrane layer applied on the carrier element and a discharge for the substances passing through the membrane. The membrane finds particular application in hyperfiltration, ultrafiltration, microfiltration and hemofiltration. Preferably, the membrane is used in ultrafiltration processes for the processing of milk and dairy products.
