PURPOSE:To enable a rake angle of a cutting face in a cutting edge to be immediately changed in accordance with a machining condition of a hob, by using a spacer to fix a cutting edge blade to a blade mounting groove formed in a hob main unit. CONSTITUTION:Blade mounting grooves 13 are provided in the peripheral surface of a hob main unit 12. A cutting edge blade 14 is displaced to an optional position along the gear cutting rotary direction of a hob for the blade mounting groove 13. A clearance of the blade mounting groove 13 is generated by displacing the cutting edge blade 14, and it is fixed by interposing a spacer 17 in the clearance of said groove 13. A cutting edge 18 enables a rake angle (r) of its cutting face to be optionally set by changing a position of the blade 14 for the groove 13. |
