PURPOSE:To simplify both the hardware and software constitutions and to improve the universal applicability of a debug device, by using a processor to perform the switching control between a monitor program and a target program. CONSTITUTION:When a target program 103 to be debugged in executed, a control circuit 13 delivers the pulse of the target program control signal (i) based on the indication of an operator given via a memory and a peripheral device 12 and the monitor programs stored in the memory and the device 12. Then the circuit 13 gives a command to a processor 11 for execution of a target program. Thus the processor 11 loads 12 a parameter to a register and jumps the target program 103 to an execution start address. At the same time, the processor 11 sends a switching control signal (h) to a switching circuit 14. Thus the input/output signals are switched and the program 103 is executed. |
