PURPOSE:When polyester is melt-spun into filaments, a finishing oil containing a specific component such as an epoxy compound is applied, then the fillaments are heat-treated, then treated with RFL, thus showing good adhesion to rubber. CONSTITUTION:Polyester fibers are treated, during its melt spinning process, with a finishing oil containing (A) polyoxyalkylene monoalkyl ether [preferably of the formula: R<1>O(R<2>O)nH(R<1> is 1-10C alkyl; R<2> is 2-4C alkylene; n is a number with which the molecular weight becomes 300-2,000)], (B) polyoxyalkylated amine (preferably an adduct of 3-20mol of alkylene oxide onto an organic amine with a groups of >NH or -NH2 group), (C) an epoxy compound such as reaction product from an epichlorohydrin and a polyhydric alcohol and, preferably (D) a (blocked) isocyanate or ethylene urea, then heat-treated. |
