PURPOSE:To enable a printing paper accompanied by a gap at the part of a card holder to be brought into close contact with a platen, by providing a bail lever for moving bail rollers along paths each of which makes contact with the outer profile of the platen. CONSTITUTION:With a platen 1 rotated, a printing paper 9 is fitted to the platen 1 as feeding rollers 3 pressed against the platen 1 by elastic forces of feeding springs 5 are rotated. With the platen 1 further rotated, the paper 9 is wound around the platen 1 while being guided by a card holder 6. At this time, bail rollers 7 are located at positions indicated by an arrow A1, whereas the paper 9 is in the state of being indicated by an arrow A2. Starting from this condition, the bail rollers 7 are moved to positions indicated by an arrow B1 by operating a bail lever 14, whereby the paper 9 is set into the state indicated by an arrow B2. In this process, the bail rollers 7 have some rotating resistance, whereby the paper 9 is pulled, so that the paper 9 can be brought into close contact with the platen 1.
