PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly of a wheel and prevent the occurrence of displacement at the portions of a rim, by a method wherein the whole of the rim containing a rim flange for mounting a wheel disc extended in the direction of the radius of the rim and internally of the rim is integrally moulded. CONSTITUTION:In manufacture, a disc-shaped blank 3 of an Al alloy is supported to a spinning machining apparatus 4, and a cylinder part 32 with a bottom, the bottom of which is a central part 31 of the blank 3, is formed. After a circumferential groove 33 is formed in a groove 42, previously formed in a core 41, by pressing a part of the cylinder part 32 by means of a roll 51, and the bottom part 31 is cut by means of a bite 52 as the cylinder part 32 is rotated. Consecutively, the circumferential groove 33 is compressed in a direction 30 of the central line of the cylinder part through the working of a press machine, and the two inner side surfaces of the circumferential groove 33 are forced into contact with each other to form a rim flange 34. A part of the rim is formed to a part 35 on the one side extended from the rim flange 34, and the remaining of the rim is formed to a part 36 on the other side.
