<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the shape changing part of a weather strip from decreasing in strength by setting two slits reaching the edge surface on the bottom side of the edge part of the straight part, by bending the lip thereby formed, by inserting a core from the gap formed there toward the shape changing part and by vulcanizing and molding it thereafter. CONSTITUTION:To connect a straight part 1 formed by extrusion molding with a shape changing part 2 formed by molding using a mold, two slits 3, 4 reaching the edge surface are formed on the bottom side of the edge part of the straight part and a lip 5 formed between the sits 3, 4 is bent. A core 7 is inserted from the gap formed there toward the shape changing part. Vulcanization and molding is carried out while the connection of the straight part 1 with the shape changing part 2 is being kept. As the core is thereby supported in the straight part 1, it is easy to do the processing of the core and the supporting becomes strong. A weather strip being strong and having little strain can be obtained.</p> |
