PURPOSE:To continuously manufacture a string chuck with correct shape and dimensions by a method wherein extruded thermoplastic synthetic resin material is formed through a die with one of corresponding cross-sectional openings into string chuck material with a predetermined shape and, immediately after that, quenched. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic synthetic resin pellets are fed from a hopper 11 to an extruder 10 so as to be hot-melted and then led through a conduit 13 to either a male string chuck die 12M or a female string chuck die 12F in order to be continuously extruded therethrough. The string chuck material 30 extruded through the die 12 is immediately introduced into the cooling water 17 in a water tank 16. The cooled and solidified string chuck material 30 is pulled up and waterdrops on the whole surface of the material are completely removed with air nozzles 22 and 23 and a cloth 24 with excellent water absorption property. Finally, the string chuck product 300 taken off with a take-off 25 is taken up on a take-up reel 26. |
