PURPOSE:To secure the max. effect of air conditioning operation by opening a bypass damper by a damper driving device only in the case when the blow-out air quantity over that in ordinary case is necessary and intaking the additional air quantity through a bypass passage. CONSTITUTION:When a rear cooler switch is turned-ON, a motor 11 drives a blower 12, and the car interior air is inhaled into an intake duct 1, passing through an air cleaner 3 from an air flow inlet 2a, and reaches a coolant evaporator 13 through the blower 12, and is blown out into the car interior from a cold air blow-out port 15. In the cooling-down (max. flow-out air quantity), an electromagnetic selector valve 10 is switched to drive a damper driving device 7. Then, a bypass damper 5 is opened to flow air into the intake duct 1 also from a bypass passage 4. Therefore, in cooling down, the shortage of intake air quantity due to the ventilation resistance of the air cleaner 3 is supplemented, and the cooling efficiency of a rear cooler is improved.
