PURPOSE:To improve the operability when a facsimile equipment is placed side by side with a key telephone system by receiving automatically the facsimile equipment and executing the incoming response of a terminal telephone set as the condition separated from a trunk line. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile equipment 3 is set to an automatic receiving and in the condition to separate the facsimile equipment 3 from a trunk line 5, the incoming response is executed from a terminal telephone set 2. At such a time, in case of the facsimile communication, a calling signal of 16Hz is separately sent to the facsimile equipment 3, the facsimile equipment 3 is set to the receiving condition, the facsimile equipment 3 is connected to the trunk line 5 and the facsimile communication is executed. When the facsimile communication is not executed, calling is executed by the terminal telephone set 2. Thus, even when the facsimile equipment 3 is provided separately to the terminal telephone set 2, it is not necessary to go to the facsimile equipment 3 at each time and the equipment can be operated.
