PURPOSE:To attain the drive control of an unmanned carrier along the guide bands set in different layouts with change of the signals given from outside, by using these outside signals to control the start/stop of the carrier as well as the selection of the guide bands. CONSTITUTION:The right and left drive wheels 15 and 16 are connected to the right and left motors 17 and 18 respectively. Both motors 17 and 18 are controlled by a controller 19. The controller 19 receives the supply of the start signal from the 1st receiver 20, the travel-straight signal from the 2nd receiver 21, the deceleration signal from the 3rd receiver 22, and the stop signal from the 4th receiver 23 respectively. Thus the controller 19 controls the motors 17 and 18 and also receives the supply of the stop confirming signal from a stop confirming signal transmitter 24. An unmanned carrier 4 contains an optical detector (not shown here) for detection of a guide band 1 and supplied the detection signal of said detector to the controller 19. Thus the carrier 4 is controlled so that it is driven along the band 1.
