摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce pumping loss of an oil pump and to reduce the size of the above device by providing a selector valve for switching to a clutch cooling path and to an oil cooling path according to operating conditions in the midway of a cooling path. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle starts, the belt ratio is kept near the full low to obtain high driving force, and the primary pressure of the first oil pressure chamber 22 is substantially zero. The oil pressure for keeping half-clutch condition is introduced in a cooling selector valve 50 through a clutch pressure introducing path 70, and an oil path 48 and a clutch cooling path 54 are connected with each other to cool the clutch. In the normal running condition, the belt ratio is gradually changed to increase the sheave pressure on the primary side, the clutch pressure becomes equal to the secondary sheave pressure or less, the cooling selector valve 50 is switched by the primary pressure to connect the oil path 48 to an oil cooling path 60, and oil is cooled by an oil cooling device 56. Thus, loss of an oil pump 28 can be reduced.</p>
