PURPOSE:To produce a fiber reinforced Al alloy having an optional shape and high strength by packing a heated short fiber reinforcing material into the pressurization chamber of the 1st casting mold and penetrating a molten Al alloy under the pressurization therein and injecting the molten alloy into the molding chamber of the 2nd casting mold and solidifying the same. CONSTITUTION:The heated short fiber reinforcing material 25A is packed into the pressurization chamber 5 of the 1st casting mold 3 and at the same time, a reducing valve 17 is raised and the pressure in the chamber 5 is reduced by a vacuum pump 23. A plunger 1 is then raised to open an aperture 7 and the molten Al alloy 24A in a molten metal pool 8 is introduced into a molten metal holding chamber 4. After a punch 4 is once raised up to the bottom surface position of the plunger 1, the plunger 1 and the punch 2 are simultaneously lowered to pressurize the molten Al alloy 24A and to penetrate the same among the short fiber reinforcing materials 25A in the chamber 5 under the reduced pressure. The valve 17 is then lowered to close a valve hole 14 of the drag 12 of the 2nd casting mold and a truncated circular cone shape valve 15 is lowered into the molding chamber 20 to open the aperture 6. The composite molten alloy stock is further injected into the chamber 20 formed of the recesses 11, 12 of the cope 9 and drag 12 of the 2nd casting mod by the punch 2 and is solidified therein.
