PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a complicated program by executing, based upon the value of the second RSF/F, whether the supply prohibiting control to an 8-bit shift register is executed for the clock inputted from a shift clock input terminal by an external input terminal or by the 1st RSF/F. CONSTITUTION:By using the inverse of EN terminal 11 as a shift clock supplying prohibiting signal, the action to fetch 8-bit data desired out of the continuous serial data which needs the complicated program in the conventional technology can be controlled only by impressing 'low' to the inverse of EN terminal only in the desired 8-bit data input. Thus, not only the conventional complicated program is not necessary, but also it is not necessary to also think the timing in the complicated program and with a simple control, the serial data can be read.
