PURPOSE:To prevent the total throughput of a memory controller from being deteriorated by providing an area for holding a lock byte in a memory address conversion table. CONSTITUTION:An MCU incorporates with a cache memory and there is only one memory bus for making access to the cache memory or an MMU 600 from respective processors. Therefore, when plural memory requests or lock requests are superimposed and outputted, the MCU 500 accepts one memory request or one lock request based on a predetermined priority. The MCU 500 is accessory to the accepted memory request or the lock request. They respectively make access to the cache memory or the MMU 600 based on a real memory address or a lock byte address and a request code and transmit the result together with a reply signal to a request original device of the memory request or the lock request.
