FIXING TONER

摘要

PURPOSE:To permit low-temp. fixing and to improve shelf stability by incorporating a specific ratio of transpolyoctenylene rubber into a toner. CONSTITUTION:The transpolyoctenylene rubber (hereafter expressed as rubber) expressed by the formula is compounded at 3-50wt% with a toner component. This rubber changes sharply in viscosity at about 50 deg.C and changes from solid to liquid. Blocking is not admitted at all after resting at 45 deg.C and the excellent shelf stability is exhibited if the above-mentioned rubber is compounded with a binder resin (e.g., epoxy resin). A suitable viscosity is maintained even in a low-temp. fixing region of 120-150 deg.C and the secure fixing is made possible without offsetting.
