摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of an optical transmission line and to eliminate the adverse effect of electromagnetic induction from the optical transmission line by using one optical fiber in optical fibers and sending energy for driving an optical repeater as optical energy and including a light reception element converting the said energy into an electric energy in an optical repeater. CONSTITUTION:A semitransparent mirror multiplexes signal light and YAG laser light and makes the result incident on a single mode optical fiber 4. The optical repeater 7 is provided with a demultiplexer 8 separating the signal light and the YAG laser light, a photodetector 9 of the signal light using an APD (avalanche photodiode) and a photodetector 10 of YAG laser light. The said signal light and the laser light are made incident on the demultiplexer 8, where they are separated into the signal light and the YAG laser light, the signal light is made incident on the photodetector 9 and the laser light is made incident on the photodetector 10, the laser light is converted into electric energy by the photodetector 10 and the electric energy is fed to the photodetector 9, the signal processing section 11 and a light emitting device 12 via a power supply controller 13. A solar battery is used as the photodetector 10.
