A switching cabinet whose top and/or rear side consists at least partially of a metal plate (1) which flexes in the cabinet, for the purpose of controlled pressure relief, in the event of a specific overpressure in the event of an arcing defect. According to the invention, the metal plate (1) is of perforated and corrugated construction and is mounted in a pressure-tight manner on only one (6) of its edges in such a manner that it is bent over along this edge at the said overpressure.
