PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition improved in impact strength without impairing heat resistance, rigidity, etc., suitable for electric parts, etc., by incorporating a polyarylene sulfide with specified amount of an ethylene copolymer from ethylene, alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 70-99% of a polyarylene sulfide of formula (Ar-S)n (Ar is divalent aromatic residue containing at least one six-membered carbon ring, such as of formula I or II) (e.g. polyphenylene sulfide) with (B) 30-1wt% of an ethylene copolymer from B1: 50-90(pref. 60-85)wt% of ethylene, B2: 5-49(pref. 7-45)wt% of an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester (e.g, ethyl acrylate) and B3: 0.5-10(pref. 1-8)wt% of maleic anhydride. |
