PURPOSE:To simplify a structure and to miniaturize the titled device by constituting a mobile mechanism by a linear pulse motor comprising a flat stator and a motor arranged reciprocatingly to the said stator and fitting a magnetic head to a rotor. CONSTITUTION:In holding a magnetic card 5 to a mounting part 1, the rotor 22 is arranged reciprocatingly to a flat stator 21 arranged in parallel with the information track 51 of the card 5 in a linear pulse motor 2a and the rotor 22 is used as a slider 23 and the magnetic head 3 is fitted. The magnetic head 3 is allowed to contact slidably with the information track 51 of the magnetic card 5 to read/write the magnetic information. A panel 4 is provided behind the linear pulse motor 2a, photoelectric sensors 41, 42 are arranged at both ends in matching with the width of the magnetic card 5, and on the other hand, a light shield plate 25 operating both the sensors 41, 42 is provided to the rotor 22 of the linear pulse motor 2a to set the slide range of the magnetic head 3. Thus, the constitution is simplified more, no transmission mechanism such as a gear reducer is required and the processing is made compact.
