PURPOSE:To prevent a device from increasing in size and control from becoming complicated by forming a normal toner image on a recording body and transferring it to a transfer material as a normal image,and thus obtaining a recording image. CONSTITUTION:The recording body 1 is made reversible. Namely, when a toner image after being viewed through a transmission cover 17 is printed, the recording body 1 is driven reversely in the opposite direction from an arrow A to pass the toner image through a transfer roller 1. In this case, the transfer roller 12 is held at an unused position. Then, the recording body 1 is driven as shown by the arrow A. At this time, the transfer roller 1 is held at a used position and then the toner image on the recording body 1 is transferred to the transfer material 11 through the transfer roller 12, so that the image can be fixed.
