PURPOSE:To obtain the titled body having an improved electrophotographic characteristics including a photosensitivity by using a specific disazo pigment as an electrostatic charge generating material. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer contains the disazo pigment shown by formula I. The disazo pigment is produced by effecting an diazo reaction of diamino-10-dicyanomethyleneanthrone shown by formula II, to produce dis (diazo)-10-dicyanomethyleneanthrone shown by formula III (wherein X is an acid residue) followed by reacting it with a coupling agent. When the titled body is a dispersion photosensitive body, the titled body is produced by coating a coating solution which dissolves or disperses the disazo pigment shown by formula I in a suitable solvent together with a binding resin, and if necessary, add an electrostatic charge transfer substance on an electroconductive substrate, followed by drying it to form the photoconductive layer having preferably 6-20mum the film thickness. Thus, the disazo pigment is incorporated to the photoconductive layer in an amount of preferably 0.5-5wt% on the weight basis of the binding resin. |
