PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic tilt adjusting device for an optical pickup by tilting either an optical pickup main body or a focus actuator thereof while the radius from the turning center of the peripheral of a cam entailed with the turning of the cam. CONSTITUTION:The optical pickup main body 35 is turned in a direction while being closed to a bottom wall 31 when the cam 43 is turned by a motor 38 in a direction where it radius is increased in the tilt automatic adjusting device of the optical pickup. In turning the cam 43 in a direction where the radius is decreased by the motor 38, the optical pickup main body 35 is turned in a direction where the main body 35 is parted from the bottom wall 31 and the optical pickup main body 35 is tilted relatively to an optical slider 30. Fur ther, the optical pickup main body 35 is tilted relatively to the optical slider 30, while the focus actuator 37 of the optical pickp is tilted relatively to the optical slider 30. Thus, number of components is reduced remarkably and the constitution of the automatic tilt adjusting device of the optical pickup is simpli fied.
