PRODUCTION OF POLYCRYSTAL BODY HAVING GOOD SECONDARY RECRYSTALLIZED STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To produce a polycrystal body having good secondary recrystallized structure by determining the corresponding orientation direction of the orientation of the optionally selected crystal grain of the polycrystal body and the above-mentioned crystal grain and predicting the secondary recrystallized texture of the above-mentioned polycrystal body. CONSTITUTION:The orientation of the crystal grains prior to the secondary recrystallization of the polycrystal body is measured with the optionally selected crystal grains. The number of the above-mentioned crystal grains to be measured in specified preferably to 100-1,000 pieces. The corresponding orientation relation of the orientation of the above-mentioned crystal grains and the crystal grains of which the above-mentioned orientation is measured is determined and the secondary recrystallized texture of the above-mentioned polycrystal body is predicted. The frequency distribution of the crystal grains having the corresponding orientation relation is adjusted to the desired orientation by changing the primary recrystallized texture in accordance with the above-mentioned prediction or the critical frequencies of the crystal grains having the corresponding orientation relation necessary for the generation of the secondary recrystallized grains is adjusted. The polycrystal having the desired good secondary recrystallized structure and high quality is thus obtd. at a high yield.
